The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within an area of the Siemens business that has enormous market potential and can be based anywhere in the country - however travel will be required. As the Principal Sales and Applications Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and supporting advanced electrical protection and automation systems. You will collaborate with our engineering team and customers to develop customized secondary solutions that meet their specific requirements and ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will be part of a highly motivated team to bring Siemens cutting edge secondary technologies (electrical protection, substation automation, networking and cyber security, power quality and digitalisation) into the Pacific region. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement electrical protection and automation solutions for diverse applications. Analyze client requirements and provide technical expertise to develop tailored solutions. Train and educate internal and external customers about Siemens protection and automation technology. Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure functionality and performance. Provide technical support to clients during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to electrical protection and automation. Travel to customers and stakeholders to promote Siemens protection and automation technology, and ensure customer satisfaction. In order to be considered for this opportunity you will need the following: Electronic Engineering qualification with specialization in electrical power systems (generation, distribution, transmission grids) In-depth experience in Electrical Protection Systems (Relays, protection settings and tests), Control Systems (RTUs, SCADAs) and Communication Systems and Protocols (Ethernet, SDH, IEC 61850, DNP 3, Modbus, IEC104) In-depth experience in protection system design and commissioning for electrical substations Strong understanding of electrical protection principles, relay coordination, and fault analysis. About the role: The role of Business Applications Engineer involves providing vital support for core business applications and platforms crucial for the smooth operations of numerous independent schools across New South Wales. Responsibilities: Maintenance and Support: Maintain and update key business applications, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint, to ensure their reliability, efficiency, and alignment with organizational needs. Respond promptly to internal and external service requests and incident reports related to these applications, addressing issues and ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Problem Resolution: Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve problems efficiently, employing strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions. This role will be providing support to various internal and external production teams during the delivery of the project. As an Application support engineer you will be heavily involved in building up the new technical environment and infrastructure and supporting the existing applications. Key responsibilities: Provide technical support and maintenance for internal financial applications Provide technical support within various cloud environments. Provision level-2 support for Production environments, testing environments, and migration projects.
