As the Security Officer you will be required to provide security services appropriate to the Village. Provision of a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff through sound knowledge of security, fire and occupational health and safety legislation relevant to mine site village facilities. Responsibilities will include: Observe a high standard of personal hygiene and presentation for work. Ensure the issued uniforms are worn and required personal protective equipment is carried at all times (smoking not permitted during shift). Ensure that conduct is in a professional manner at all times in dealing with village residents, visitors, village staff and company personnel. Ensure that contact is maintained with the village administration office at all times. Ensure that consumables i.e. stationary, torches, batteries, materials for visitor passes are maintained at all times. Ensure that all visitors to site are authorised to enter the village and maintain accurate records of site entry and exit. Ensure all authorised deliveries are processed per site procedure to the unloading point. Ensure that unsafe loads and materials do not enter the site. Check freight manifests, particularly for hazardous materials. Enforce site speed restrictions. Maintain security records and carry out routine reporting of incidents and observations during regular patrols of the village as required. Encourage residents to observe the village curfew hours and control unruly behaviour at all times to ensure the comfort and safety of all residents. Encourage the correct parking of authorised vehicles in the designated parking areas within the village. Assist village management with security issues as and when requested. Experience: 4 years of experience in IT Compliance/Auditing.
