People and Culture Manager » Fraser Island, Fraser Coast - About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a full time People & Culture Manager to join our operations. The People & Culture Manager will support SeaLink K'gari operations including Kingfisher Bay Resort, K'gari Beach Resort, K'gari Explorer Tours, marine operations and support services, and will be part of a team that values integrity and teamwork. This position will work closely with the General Managers of the Resorts, leaders and team members to provide a customer focused, high quality people & culture consultancy service, focusing on areas such as industrial and employee relations, recruitment, engagement activities and enterprise agreement negotiations. This role also manages a small team of people and culture professionals. About You You will have exceptional interpersonal skills and be an effective communicator (both verbally and in writing). With close attention to detail, you ensure compliance with relevant legislation and obligations at all times. You will also have the following: Tertiary Qualifications in a Human Resource related discipline (essential) Experience in a senior people and culture role with a focus on employee relations Knowledge of employment legislation, remuneration and benefits, safety, employee engagement, and employee development Experience conducting complex workplace investigations Proven track record in implementing and managing recruitment processes Key to success in this role, you will be able to work independently in a fast-paced and diverse environment. You will also have exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and be able to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders. Your leadership qualities allow you to mentor and coach senior leaders in HR practices. People and culture experience in tourism, hospitality or transport is highly regarded. Purpose of the role With the Queensland’s tourism industry aspirational goal of growing overnight visitor expenditure to $44.4B by 2032, this role will be an influential senior executive in ensuring a strong foundation for the business to operate and deliver impactful activities. As an integral member of the executive leadership team and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the role is responsible for strong financial, legal, technology and people compliance functions as a priority for this portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess the following experience, skills, and credentials: Experience in successfully managing the finances of a medium sized organisation and effectively working within a statutory body environment; Strong understanding of accounting standards and legislative requirements applicable to statutory bodies; Experience in leading the risk management agenda, including actively managing the financial, information technology and operational risks of an organisation; Proven ability to inspire leadership and provide strategic direction to a multi-disciplinary team; and Tertiary degree in a commercial discipline as well as membership of a recognised professional accounting body, and company secretary experience and qualifications.
